Around 1630 hours, your Chuckatuck volunteers were alerted to a residential structure fire in the 180-Block of Moore Farm Lane. E29 with 3, Engine 9 with 3, Tanker 9 with 2, and Car 509 responded to the scene, with units from Suffolk Fire-Rescue.
Personnel participated in a transitional attack due to fire and roof conditions, before progressing to an interior attack. The fire was contained to the attic and second division.
Around 1940, just after units cleared from the Moore Farm fire, your volunteers were alerted to a chimney fire in the 1500-Block of Moores Point Road. Engine 9 with 3, Tanker 9 with 2, and Car 509 responded to the scene, with units from Suffolk.
Engine 9 arrived on scene to find a residential structure with nothing showing.
Engine 29 was out of service from the first fire to replace bottles and fire hose. 29 quickly returned to service and stood by at the station to cover the district.
